You Can Eat Your Way to a Slimmer Healthier Body. No More Diets, Just Eat What You Want, With Proven Recipes for Good Health and Weight Loss

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

Did you know that for the first time obesity statistics show that there are now more obese people than those who are overweight?

I know that our economy crisis prevents us to be a stay at home mom or dad.  We all have to work two and sometimes three jobs to make ends meet. Fast food, they say, is the culprit for so much weight gain.  Don’t you think it’s time to take the bull by the horns and do something about it?  Wouldn’t it make sense to cook, using a new concept?  What is this new concept?  It is merely cooking the food and baking the way you always did, but, using different products.  These products are simply substitutes for the High Fat and High Sugar products used for years.

I have dedicated myself to creating recipes that are identical, in every way to the ones we consume now.  With the proper use of, sugar free honey, for instance, you can eliminate any brown sugar from your recipe.  No taste change.  No aftertaste.  Cookies flatten properly during the baking process.  They smell delicious and taste even better.  There was a time, you had to refrigerate all sugar free baked goods, immediately.  If you did not, the goodies were stale within twenty four hours.  No longer is this necessary, except for food and cheesecake, for instance, which must be refrigerated anyway.

Along with my two cookbooks, “Theresa’s Solution to Smart Cooking” and Theresa’s Solution to Smart Baking” I have added a New cookbook, “Little Chef, Series #One, on my website  In my cooking school, I had the privilege to teach children from ages nine and up to teenage, the simple art of cooking.  This was when I realized how much help children could be to their hard working parents.  I also realized,  while  observing some of the kids, they were amazed at how much math, reading and comprension went into cooking. What a marvelous and exciting observation this was.  We all must eat, three meals a day to stay healthy. Why not gather up some trust, and allow your children to help with meals.  You and dad have too much to do and cooking is like doing an exciting craft for the kids.  If you could imagine the pride in their faces, when they cook something, and it tasts great and looks wonderful,  Some of the recipes in the Little Chef’s book, are planned around simplicity and no cleanup.  They simply prepare meals, using aluminum foil sheets, folded into a large bag ready for the oven when you get home.

Best of all, even these recipes are Low in Fat and Low in Sugar calories.  The snacks and candy recipes are perfect for you and the children to eat, without weight gain.  We must do something about the Obesitity crisis, not only for you, but your children are in for a world of medical disasters if you don’t help yourself and them to reverse obesity.

If you, or your children want to talk to me, go to my Forum at www.theresasolution.net.  Ask me anything regarding food or your diet.  I will be happy to answer your questions.  This crisis is too serious to ignore.

Weight Loss: Healthy Weight Maintenance Information

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

When purchasing any weight loss product, it is important to do your research. Many people are exchanging their opinions about Weight Loss on DietBlogTalk.comFor an additional source, check out Weight Loss on the very popular Sensational.com

Why It Is Important To Maintain A Healthy WeightThere is a simple way to keep you heart, mind and body overall in good health: maintain a weight appropriate for your build, gender and age. Though it may seem like a simple matter, a healthy weight can prevent heart disease, high blood sugar and cholesterol, certain kinds of cancer, and depression; this is not to mention the obvious improvement in overall appearance and self-image. And despite what many people think about losing weight, it can be quite simple—a routine of healthy eating and daily exercise plus proper supplementation is often enough to take off and keep off extra weight. What To Look For In A DietA diet that is designed around healthy and permanent weight loss will be based on nourishment rather than deprivation. People who reach a healthy weight and maintain it usually do so by eating a well-rounded diet of fresh foods from each food group. Such a diet serves two purposes for the dieter by keeping hunger at bay while also stimulating the metabolism to burn faster. Diet guides, weight loss cookbooks, and structured meal plans can provide dieters with a way to stay focused on their goals.Exercise, too, can become easier when certain resources are employed. At-home exercise equipment is often a good way to exercise, as it is convenient for the dieter; workout DVDs and book-based programs provide a similar benefit. As long as the dieter is keeping up her heart rate for at least 30 minutes at a time, she can assume it has been a productive workout that may lead to weight loss. It is recommended that those losing weight stay active nearly every day in order to experience continuous benefits (fat being turned to energy, a faster metabolism, creation of lean muscle, etc). You may also want to try one of the proven weight loss supplements now available. When used in conjunction with diet and exercise they can offer some good assistance. Look for one with ingredients that burn fat and help to control the appetite and cravings.Where To Find Good InformationAny dieter seeking free information can find what they’re looking for online—there are many sites devoted to dieting, exercising and the products that make weight loss easier. You can tell a reputable weight loss site based on its affirmation of eating well and staying fit as the keys to weight loss; another indication is its unbiased look at supplements and equipment. A product site should feature comments from consumers or a user-run rating system. Message boards and forums that allow dieters to post can also be a great place to ask questions or find encouragement from others who are losing weight.ConclusionThankfully, the increase in obese and overweight people has been met with the creation of new resources to help all people lose weight. Maintaining an ideal weight yields so many benefits, from a great looking body to a healthy heart, that there is no reason to not start on the path to weight loss right away. Let today be the day you gather weight loss resources (cookbooks, guides, meal plans), exercise supports (equipment, DVDs, books by the experts) and online information so you can begin burning fat, defeating your cravings and working your way to a better you.

Calorie Overload Exposed For Home Cooking

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

With recession fears meaning more of us are cooking at home, this could have health benefits compared with calorie-dense takeaway and restaurant meals. But the number of calories per serving in classic recipes cooked at home has increased by nearly 40 percent in the past 70 years. This is the finding of a recent study that reveals the trend of growing portion sizes in numerous cookbooks.

We are so used to eating ever-increasing quantities of food that we haven’t noticed how many extra calories we are overloading on our plates, according to dietitian and author of Portion Perfection – A visual weight control plan Amanda Clark Adv APD.

“A calorie increase of 40 percent per serving is sizeable because a rise of just 10 percent is enough to result in weight gain,” said Australian dietitian Amanda Clark. The author has developed a new e-game called Plate Smash as a visual tool to show adults and teenagers how much is right to eat for lunch.

“I believe most people would like to eat the right amount, if only they knew what that was. The Plate Smash game makes you stop and think about how many calories you are putting on your plate for one meal,” said Mrs Clark.

The game was also designed for parents who want to learn the right quantities of various foods their active or inactive teenagers devour for lunch, including pizza, sushi, sandwiches, meat pies, French fries and chicken nuggets.

“If parents and teens know their calorie limits, this could help prevent and manage rising obesity in young people,” said Mrs Clark.

“Latest research shows the best way to lose weight is to eat what you want and get into the habit of limiting your portion sizes. Reduced-calorie diets result in meaningful weight loss if you stick with them, regardless of whether they are low-fat, low-carb or high-protein.”

“If you focus on eating the perfect portions, you can eat the foods you like including the occasional treats,” said Mrs Clark. “This means you won’t feel deprived and can stick to a healthy way of eating for life.”

Amanda’s book Portion Perfection features hundreds of photographs of popular foods and drinks to graphically show how much is right to eat for adults, teens and children.

Save thousands on groceries every year with new eco-smart cookbook Table Tucker

Cook Yourself Thin Book

There is so much marketing hype in supermarkets these days it is very difficult to stay focused. I used to shop randomly for my groceries grabbing items off the supermarket shelves with no logic or reason behind my actions. I was always time-poor and rushing into stores after work to buy dinner for my family. Feeding my family was always a headache and expensive. After a while I realised it was killing my budget. I was working all week and spending most of my salary on rash buys at the supermarket. I felt ill about the hard-earned money I was wasting. Money I could spend on clothing for my child or on entertainment with my hubby.

As a writer and lover of cooking and recipes I decided to put my best skills forward to solve both the grocery and dinner dilemma. I needed a cookbook that would put delicious, quick and easy dinners on the table every night of the year for my family and that also saved me thousands of dollars on groceries. I needed a cookbook that would keep me focused at the supermarket and that would also give me free time. I also wanted seasonal dinners that would give me light meals in spring and summer and slightly heavier meals during the colder autumn and winter months.

So for two years in my spare time (while I worked full-time) I cooked and tested recipes and wrote Table Tucker Cookbook. My new eco smart cookbook is certainly no ordinary cookbook. It does an incredible service for consumers. I still use my OWN book every week and every season of the year. I would never write something I wouldn’t use and do not love myself! I love my book because it really does help me and it really does do all the jobs I wanted it to.

My family is always left so satisfied and happy after a Table Tucker meal. Customers also love our book and we have collected many rave reviews from the Table Tucker community.

Over one person’s lifetime Table Tucker can save one individual approximately five years worth of leisure days, over $400,000 AUD, priceless sanity and over 21,000,000 litres of water! Collectively the Table Tucker community is doing huge things.

Wow! You say? How can a little cookbook do all that?

The Table Tucker system is simple. Readers pick up the book and shop for an annual, seasonal and monthly pantry. By buying in bulk they save money and also precious petrol and extra trips to the shops. Then readers buy a weekly list of perishable items such as bread, milk, cheese and fresh vegetables.

Typically a reader will cook two dinners on Sunday night, two dinners on Tuesday night and two dinners on Thursday night. This leaves three full nights each week to put your feet up and simply relax! My goal was to design chunks of time to create a better life for myself and my family.

One dinner is a square meal like steak and veg. The other meal is a combo meal like lasagne. The square dinner is eaten that night and the combo dinner is put in the fridge for the following night. Dinners are fresh because the combo goes into the fridge not the freezer. There are also plenty of leftovers for lunches and or extra meals that can be frozen.

Cooking only three nights each week means readers combine cooking actions making huge savings in energy and water use.

I’ve had a few people say ‘Hey! Thanks for the tip Penina! I’ll just take your concept and copy it. Easy!’

I wished those customers well.

What isn’t immediately apparent is that I have spent two years of my life and some very long hours calculating the cost of my grocery system down to the last cent and that the system works to save you time, money, sanity and the world in combination. While Table Tucker looks easy it certainly wasn’t. I wouldn’t wish that kind of work on anyone! If you’d like to go out and write up a spreadsheet as long as your street be my guest. That’s about how many calculations I’ve done to get your time, money, sanity and world all working together for you.

So why waste your own time when it is all done for you I ask?

I’m not sure about how you value your time but my time is much too precious to be working things out on a daily basis. That’s why I invested big chunks of my time to write the system for you and me so that our days would give us freedom not more drudgery! I did send my two enquirers above a book each and told them they could send it back if they still thought they could beat my system with their own meals. I never heard back from them. I imagine they are enjoying gorgeous Table Tucker meals every night now.

Readers who have invested in my book not only enjoy satisfied bellies at the end of every evening, but they are relaxed and happy and have time with their families or for creative pursuits. They also live with a great conscience which makes the complete Table Tucker experience warm, fuzzy and great fun!

Here’s just one more tip.

The sooner you invest in my book the sooner your recoup its cost. Most of my readers recoup the cost of my book in their first week! Table Tucker will slash your grocery bill that much.

Here’s how much a weekly Table Tucker shop will save you (including tax and pantry items):

A single will spend roughly $45 AUD per week on dinners. If you are cooking for two you will roughly spend $75 AUD per week and families of 4 will spend roughly $85 AUD per week. So you see that the sooner you buy Table Tucker the sooner you will make huge savings on your grocery bill.

Want more?

Table Tucker is also packed with Instant Inspiration. Old fashioned wisdom that crosses generations and is designed to lift your mood, beat depression, help friends out, understand others and offers bright reflections on life topics.

I’ve also injected a little humour because what’s life without a laugh eh?

Want even more?

There are also over 21 pages of hints and tips all relating to the whole shopping, cooking, eating and cleaning up cycle. When it comes to value Table Tucker pulls no punches. It is the best value cookbook on the market. There are a lot of revolutions happening out there due to our recession and a lot of promises being made. We are also being asked to do a lot of things to better our situation and to help others.

Table Tucker takes a different view and rather than asking you to ‘do something’ all you need to do is ‘nothing’ but eat dinner! I understand you are busy so all the work is done for you. My readers love the concept of eating dinner, saving money, feeling calm and all while they eat their way to a better world!

The Cook Yourself Thin TV Show producers gave the audience the chance to put their weight-loss dilemmas to the Cook Yourself Thin presenters. Here’s the advice that Sal gave to Laura.

Laura’s question

“Hi, I’m a carboholic. I can live without cakes, sweets etc but I love starchy carbs.

“Is there a diet plan I can follow that doesn’t compromise my carb intake too much?

“Thanks! Laura”

Sal’s advice and Cook Yourself Thin Recipes

“Forget diets – they are too depressing for words, as often you deprive yourself of foods you love and then you crave them and before you know it you fall of the wagon, so to speak.

“It’s about getting back in the kitchen and cooking again but cleverly… so if you love pasta dishes then think about making homemade tomato sauces rather than creamy ones and adding vegetables to it to balance the meal out.

“One of my favourites is a good homemade tomato sauce with chopped black olives, tabasco and chopped anchovies with say tuna.

“If you want a creamy pasta idea try my carbonara in the book… it doesn’t compromise on the flavour but is certainly less calories.

“With regards to cakes etc… try making your own because you then know what has gone into it.

“Try Harry’s chocolate and beetroot cake as it is so intense that I even struggled to eat more than one slice, and I love chocolate and cakes.

“Happy cooking!” Check out Cook Yourself Thin Lifetime TV Show and Cook Yourself Thin Channel 4 Show.
